Orientation — start here¶
Prereqs: none (curriculum entry)
Next: Motivation → History → Problems → Challenges → How to read the math
Why orientation exists¶
Before modular arithmetic and PQC vocabulary, it helps to share a story:
| Page | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Motivation | Why change cryptography at all? |
| History | How did we get from classical PKC to NIST PQC? |
| Problems | What does “hard problem” mean for crypto? |
| Challenges | What still makes PQC hard in practice? |
These pages use ordinary English. Math comes next in Fundamentals — not because it is “harder,” but because the why should land first.
Suggested order¶
- Motivation
- History
- Problems
- Challenges
- Then Fundamentals — start with reading math if symbols feel scary
